This shot requires some explanation. The run looks pretty easy, and it is, but it TOTALLY FREAKED ME OUT. My tour guides took me here early in the day, while I was still skiing gingerly. They said the view on the Inspiration run was stunning, and indeed it was, following the tippy top of a long ridge from right off the summit of the mountain. The first bit you see here is only a little wider than those cat trails the grooming tractors run on, and it goes steeply down on either side! (later I saw from below that it was not that steep, but I wasn't looking over the edges, OK?) What happened was I got MAJORLY freaked at the height and just went slower and sloowwer, inching along snowplowing by the end. What a wimp. I felt so stupid. But this is WAY high up there, and it feels like you are just sticking up in the air on the edge of the world. I was certain I'd skid funny on a turn and fly right off the edge, and nothing was gonna make me go any faster.
