Is this Love or What?
Township officials are moving ahead with their plan to assist McGrath Developers with their proposal for 268 age restricted homes on the rural residential Egly/Hockman farms.
Supervisors can't approve McGrath's proposal directly because Hilltown Township's ordinances won't allow it. So they'll change the Township's ordinances about development first (with language supplied by McGrath)!
First, they have to make a general Township ordinance that allows anyone in Hilltown with 50 acres or more to build age restricted homes on their property at high density (that is, higher density than single family zoning).
Secondly, they can approve McGrath's specific development proposal.
So, the Township's long term planning and zoning ordinances are sacrificed permanently for this one night stand with McGrath's 113 Million dollar project?
